I'm not the most photogenic guy (in other words I'm wierd lookin') but when the lovely Miss Valaida Fullwood asked some of the god city peoples and myself to be apart of her book 'Giving Back' published by these guys with photos taken by Charles Thomas to highlight the tradition of black philanthropy, I thought it was a great book idea. Even though I hesistate to put myself in that tradition just as of yet. I think what I've given back thus far is a tear drop in a really big bucket. But it's always a pleasure to talk with Valaida, she has a lot of great ideas and I look forward to helping her with them.
This summer go buy a bookcase and this October (hopefully you'll have the book case put together by then) go purchase the book. Check out all out the people in our community who are trying to make a difference. You know, the ones the 6:00 news never highlights....only when we are doing this
